Spring•
It always reminds me of growth. I live for the colors, the birds chirping, the sunshine. I am reminded that each season has its purpose, whether we like it or not (in both life and nature). This spring, I will focus on my growth.

I know I’ve been dormant lately (much like a winter) but we’ve had big changes happening. We welcomed a sweet baby boy to our family and soaked in those precious weeks as a family. I am back into work as a nurse.

I feel this spring is such a beautiful time for me to jump back into photography and branch out some more.

Just like the seasons, life has been changing. I haven’t been taking the camera out as much lately, but I’m still here....

We’re settling into life in Northern Virginia and getting excited to be welcoming a sweet little one soon. This was taken in our backyard. I’ve fallen in love with Fall on the East Coast.

To be surrounded by love, that is success in life.

I could write so much more about this beautiful family who came to Oahu on vacation or about how sweet these 4 boys were. I could even explain my hiatus while I’ve been busy with my family, soaking in the island, and enjoying each moment with them before we pack up and move. But, I’ll leave this photo with a simple caption and an image of pure love.

Ok, maybe I do..

•Don’t get so caught up in having each moment perfect. Kids are kids, they aren’t always happy (but neither are adults). I don’t like to pressure the kiddos to look and smile, let them play, let them jump in the waves and let their hair blow in the wind! Let them warm up to what’s going on. Let the raw moments happen and bring the mermaid along for the fun. Family pictures should not be a stressful event for anyone.
