A little reflection today…
Moving to Hawaiʻi has been an amazing adventure, but it has also reminded me that every place has a different creative culture.
I’ve been fortunate to experience incredibly supportive photography communities in the past, where photographers encouraged one another, celebrated each other’s successes, and believed there was enough opportunity for everyone.
My experience here hasn’t always felt that way, but it has reinforced the kind of photographer, and person I want to be.
I want to be someone who cheers for others, who believes in collaboration over competition, and who treats every client with genuine care. My pricing reflects that philosophy because I want families, couples, and new parents to have beautiful photographs they can cherish without feeling like it’s out of reach.
At the end of the day, my goal isn’t to be the biggest name in the industry. It’s to create timeless images, serve my clients well, and contribute positively to the creative community around me.
Anyway… enough about me. These two were celebrating their very first vacation to Hawaiʻi, and capturing their joy was such a privilege. 🤍
