It’s been pretty windy around here lately. I’ve found two nests on the ground so far and this one that got abandoned in a rose bush after it got manhandled by a thunderstorm. They left a failed egg behind. I collected it when the rose bush got a hard pruning today. I’m always amazed by their construction skills.

It was like date night at Golden Corral in the garden last night. Cucumber, squash, okra, tomato, zucchini … all waiting to mature so I could pick them. All got got by deer 😭. There’s been a lame deer I’ve seen around on the game cam. If it’s her I don’t begrudge her but dang. At least I haven’t been spending water on them thanks to the rain 🤷🏼.
