It felt nearly impossible to narrow Kelly and Andy’s wedding day down to a single highlight gallery.

The whole day felt like a true expression of who they are.

Creative. Thoughtful. A little nostalgic. Centered around incredible food, great music, and the people they love most.

Kelly wore her mom’s wedding dress with the coolest pair of boots, somehow making a beautiful family heirloom feel entirely her own.

One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings is seeing how every couple brings their own personality into the day. It’s those little choices—the meaningful ones—that tell the story long after the day is over.

At home with the Lazzari’s, on digital and film 🌱

One of my favorite parts of every at-home session happens before I ever show up with a camera.

We spend time on a discovery call talking about this season of life—the rhythms of their days, the places that feel most like home, and the moments they never want to forget.

When I asked the Lazzari’s what felt most like them, they didn’t mention matching outfits or a picture-perfect location. They told me the boys love jumping around the living room, and that some of their happiest afternoons happen in the backyard.

So that’s where we told the story.

In true Southern fashion, a summer thunderstorm rolled in just as I arrived. We embraced it—music in the living room, dancing, Legos, and making the most of an unexpected pause.

Just as quickly as it arrived, the storm passed, and we made our way outside. The grass was still wet, the air impossibly humid, and everything felt alive again. Dirty hands in the garden, sprinklers, sticky popsicles, and all the ordinary yet magical moments that make up a childhood.

An afternoon in the garden with Mary Frances 🕊️

The place she and her children visit almost daily, one that reminds her of the backyard she grew up in, became the place for us to create images for the season she is stepping into—sharing more about the things she loves: beauty, wellness, and creating a life that feels full and meaningful.

And somewhere between wandering through the flowers and photographing her, I kept thinking about how special it is to document a woman simply as she is, right now.

Mary Frances is a mom of two, and this wasn’t a wedding day or a pregnancy announcement or some big milestone. It was simply her, in this season of creating and mothering and becoming.

We don’t always need to wait for a milestone to decide that a season is worth remembering.
