Here’s to a week full of this kind of happiness 🤩

In other news, we got Cata her own little toddler loveseat this weekend and I’m not exaggerating when I say, it’s been the highlight of our entire week. 😊️

She’s in that phase where crawling turns into climbing and everything is an adventure. Adriano and I were in her room talking when it suddenly got very quiet (which is always suspicious 😅) and when we turned around to check on her and she was just… sitting there. In her tiny chair. So content and super adorable. These moments might not sound like a big deal but they’re really precious when you’re watching your little one discover something new.

Now she treats it like her own little world. She’ll sit and lean way over the side to grab toys from her basket. She stands in front of it, swings one leg up and around like she’s solving a puzzle, determined to figure out the best way to climb up.

She’s so proud of herself. So happy. And we just sit there watching her like it’s the greatest show on earth.

Honestly? Best money we’ve spent in this phase. 🙌🏼

Because her joy? Completely priceless. 🤍

Wayyyy back before I became a photographer, I didn’t understand the value of the ‘getting ready’ photos until I saw what it felt like to have a gap in the memories. There is so much love tucked into the hours before the vows - the way your best friend looks at you, the way you catch your breath in the mirror, the slow, intentional portraits that feel like an exhale.

These are the scenes that set the stage for your marriage. They are the photos your children will study one day to see who you were in the moments before everything changed. I don’t want you to just have a gallery of an event; I want you to have the full, unhurried history of your love.

First, what an incredible SuperBowl Halftime Show! I've never been prouder to be a Puerto Rican! 🇵🇷🇺🇸 the storytelling, the history, the culture, the strong unity message. We live in a world with over 190 countries and over 7000 spoken languages, and what an honor it is to be able to celebrate multiple cultures, languages, and our rich history. 🩷​​​​​​​​

We wrote our own vows… and then realized we were way too shy to read them in front of even our small circle of family and friends.⁠

So we kept them just for us. Private. Sweet. Spoken quietly to each other right after our first look. We were already having that moment alone, seeing each other for the first time, so bringing our vow books with us felt like the most natural extension of it.⁠
⁠
I’m really glad we did it that way. It took the pressure off and let the words land exactly where they were meant to.⁠
(And yes, I think I caught Adriano with a little dust in his eye.) 🥹⁠

I’ll never forget the moment right before our first look, waiting on the street side of the rented house while a fire ant started munching on my foot. I swatted it away like a madwoman, giggling to myself and praying no one from the street saw me and I thought “wait till I tell Adriano about this 😂😂” because I knew you would “get” my embarrassment and being all flustered. 🫠

That’s one of my favorite things about us: the way we can laugh about almost anything, even the most mundane moments. Because of course a fire ant found MY foot *right* as I’m about to see the love of my life for our first look on our wedding day.

Thank you for always being silly with me and for thinking I’m funny. How lucky for you, marrying a comedian 😉 happy anniversary, Adriano. Cheers to many more adventures together 🥂
