South Florida History has a special place in my heart.
I had the privilege of working in Everglades National Park covering their annual Vintage Day event...G2photos gallery Link:

I worked as a photographer last Saturday @ Vintage Day 2018.
It was my my 6th one, and I truly enjoy being a part of it.
For 5 hours they go back in time with characters that made Florida history.
It was Fun to see my Everglades friends again.

Triangle Ranch is filled with wildlife.
I am not much of a wildlife photographer, but I do carry an extra camera with a long lens when I go out looking for scenic stuff.
There is always something flying over me, or runnin through the woods.
Tryin to be ready for whatever goes by me.
Never considered myself a "Birder"
But, I do love birds very much.
What a wonderful life.
Travel far distances, no borders, beautiful views.
All you got to worry about, is some idiot Human shootin ya.
Once again, what a thrill to be at Carlton's Triangle Ranch.
So many wonderful experiences.
I feel like I'm a part of nature, when I am there.

A Big Thank You to Julie & Heather over at Everglades National Park.
They will be displaying my photographs on the walls off their office wing.
15 very large images in all.
It was a team effort with Julie making it happen, Heather cutting the mats, and her husband making the frames by hand.
It was a very special time for me to go in there to autograph the prints.
I am so excited to see the finished product all hung up.
Very grateful to all involved at the ENP budget wing for making me feel a little bit like an artist for a day.
Sincerely,
G2

YEA !
Finally Done with:

That was on the bucket list for G2.
Three nights & 4 days, roughly 36 hours on the island.
Tried to make the most of every hour.
Was hot weather for Nov., but that provided some magic with the clouds & storms.
I was so tiered on the drive home, totally wiped out.
Just what I wanted, to leave nothing left on the table, never know if I will return.

I would say the first 50 images were my favorites.
After that, the gallery starts to get repetitive, and then boring by the time you hit image #500.
Did not want to throw any more out, and it did reflect my stay on DRTO.
It was a wonderful opportunity.
Big Thanks to Linda @ ENP for making it happen.
I do hope, I held up my end of the bargain.

I also noticed I seemed a little obsessed with the lighthouse portion of the fort.
Never seemed like it was the right moment, for that scene.
Kept hoping for that one in 365 for a spectacular sunrise.
But, they are all good in their own ways.
Guess I'll have to go back, and look that over again.

I sincerely Thank You for viewing.
As always, it is my hope that a few photographs may light the fire for you to get out in the Great Outdoors.
Its where I want to be !

More than I deserve.
Got some great news a few days ago.
One of my images has been used for the cover shot of the map that gets handed out to all that enter Everglades National Park.
First print is just under a half million copies.
That will be quite a few views in the coming years.
Would like to give a very grateful shout out to Alan & Rudy at ENP, who allowed this dream to come true for me.
Thank you, it is a special moment in my life.

Slipped out to Shark Valley to experience a summer day, before the bitter cold of winter in a couple months (LOL)
Got there at 8:30am and got back by 2pm.
Very quiet and peaceful as I rode my bicycle to the tower & back(15miles). A beautiful day, with a wonderful rain shower at the end. I could not have planned it (lucked out) better.
The Florida Everglades is right in our back yard.
Get out there and enjoy the great outdoors.

5:30am Saturday morning 9/5/2015
Forever in search of lightning photographs.
Every now and then, the universe will provide an opportunity.
While camping in the Everglades @ Flamingo the flash of the sky woke me up at 4am.
I figured it was an invitation to get out there and experience it.
Threw on the bug suit jacket, put on my long shorts and long boots. And of course my very important MP3 player.(no fun without the tunes)
The mosquitoes were as thick as a blanket, and it was about 80 deress...(perfect!)
I stood at the waters edge, set the tripod, put the lens to infinity & F16, set the self timer and fired off about twenty five frames, 30 sec. exposures.
Let the lightning, light the scene.
I got three keepers.
I am so looking forward to the next opportunity...Universe, I am waiting for a sign :0)

Friends of G2,

http://www.g2photosmx.com/Events/G22015Roadtrip56/50705306_bKXg7N

Headed off to ride the back roads of North Eastern America, to see some cool stuff.
Started the trip with a short ride to Sanford. Fl. and caught the auto train to Washington DC.
Met some fellow riders on the Internet that were having a get together in behalf of the Honda VTX model Motorcycle.
I decided to stop by, and spent 24 hours in Virginia with them.
They fed me & let me pitch a tent in their backyard.
I came as a stranger, and left as a friend.

After I left Virginia, it started to rain.
And rain it did. Everyday for 5 days. Day & night.
But, it was OK. Nice and cool and I still saw so many beautiful roads, and country side of the USA.

One of the trip highlights was the auto road up Mt. Washington in New Hampshire.
It is a private narrow road to the top. The trip was very exciting. The weather was sunny at the bottom.
I rode into a cloud as I made the 6 thousand foot climb.
Once I got to the top, it cleared up and it was a beautiful scene to see.

After that, I headed east to Maine and to my 48 hour stay in Acadia National Park. Had a great camp site in Blackwoods camp. Spent the next 48 hours riding around Mount Desert Island and taking a few photos. Temps were 50s at night 80s in the day. Couldn't be nicer weather.

After that, I put my head down, and got busy riding home.
It was a three day trip to home, starting with small roads and then to I-95 on the last day to be home with the family.

17 Days on the Road :0)
all 17 in my tent, and 80% of it was a two lane road.
It was a wonderful trip, with plenty of time for reflection of how I got this far along in my life.
Big thanks to all the people that made this trip possible for me.
I left to look for myself, and came back more lost than ever.
But after all, it is the trip and not the destination. RIGHT???
