When my bestie came home to visit and mentioned she wanted family pictures, she said... "We'll just like... come over. I want personality pictures of my kids, and maybe we can just, play at the park."
My first thought was, oh boy... these arent the kind of pictures I really do anymore. They tend do be more "posed." But we will do them and hope for the best!
As I was taking their pictures that night, it took me back to when my kids were really little, and I would just grab my camera just because. Not to be perfect, but to just remember them. Their goofy grins, curious little faces, the way they played, laughed, and simply existed in that season of life.
The pictures don't have to be perfect. One day these little personalities will grow up, and it won't be the perfect pose you'll miss the most. It'll be the way they laughed, the way they ran, the silly expressions, and the little moments that made them who they are.
Sometimes the best photos are the ones that just tell your family's story.
