The Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs has a history as strange as it is chilling.
Built in 1886 as a luxury resort, it later became a women’s college and, in the 1930s, a hospital run by Dr. Norman Baker — a man with no medical license who claimed to cure cancer. His treatments were a scam, and many patients died within these walls.

Today, the Crescent is known as one of the most haunted hotels in America. Guests report flickering lights, cold spots, and voices in empty hallways.
Some rooms, like 218 and 419, are especially active — said to be haunted by former workers and patients who never checked out.

History lingers here… and so might something else.

Frisco 1522 – a 1926 Baldwin-built 4-8-2 Mountain-type steam locomotive that once powered fast freight and passenger trains for the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway. Restored in the ’80s, it ran excursions until 2002. Now proudly on display at the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis. A true steam legend!
