I’ve made a decision about the images I share on my photography page going forward. ❤️
I will no longer be posting children’s faces unobscured on my social media.. signed release or not. If I share an image with a child, I’ll cover/obscure their face, crop the image differently, or choose a photo where their face isn’t shown.
With how quickly AI is changing and the disturbing ways innocent photographs can now be manipulated, I simply don’t feel comfortable taking that chance with someone else’s child.
I LOVE sharing the little faces, belly laughs and personalities I’m lucky enough to capture. But those images aren’t mine to risk.
Will it change the way I market my business? Absolutely. But the safety and privacy of the children and families who trust me will always matter more.
Clients will still receive their beautiful images exactly as intended. ❤️ This ONLY changes what I personally choose to share publicly.
I can’t control what happens on the internet, but I can control what I contribute to it. And for me, this feels like the right thing to do. ❤️
