The town of Holly Springs has instituted a professional photographer fee to photograph in the parks.

This gives me even more incentive to do up my backyard and use that space for shoots 🙂.

The parks have become very crowded with all the sessions now in town. We have a lot more people and photographers.

We all make choices. Mine was to put my family first and not expect too many “rewards”. Including the ability to take trips. After two decades of dedication to my kids, meeting their needs and volunteerism to help my community and others, this reward came to me in the form of a chance to see Alaska.

Worth the 24 year wait.

All these photos are shot with my iPhone and unedited. Strictly the eye of the photographer barely capturing what the actual physical beauty of this state looks like.

All the senses - the smell of spruce, the sound of compete deafening silence, and these indescribable sights filter into every single cell of your body. They all actually paralyze you.

Not waiting 20 years to go back.

Awake the wanderer before it’s too late. Lose yourself in simplicity. Re-examine priorities. Make yourself one of them.

NC friends - as Florence approaches us let me remind you that as part of your pre hurricane prep - take pictures! Take photos of each room, go outside and get all sides of your home, roof, yard and vehicles to have for insurance purposes.
