In the hectic pace of life, I often forget to pause and look back. To see where I’ve been as an anchor to where I’m headed. I have lots of thoughts and feelings about 2025 but suffice it to say that it was a pretty tumultuous year in life, in the world, and — because everything is deeply connected — in this business as well.

One of my favorite holiday memories is making Christmas cookies with my mom. Now I’m doing the same thing with my own kids, and those messy, frosting-covered moments have become some of my favorite photos ever.

Throwback to when needed an updated headshot and we did it outside her beautiful home. 😍 These outdoor portraits are my fav, even though being dependent on the weather can be such a pain!

On-location headshots are a great way to showcase your team in your space, and they help avoid that plain-vanilla feel of a gray or white background. (Okay okay, I know there’s a time and place but wouldn’t you rather have photos that are truly unique to your team and brand?). Pro-tip: make sure your photographer is an editing whiz; we took these in a sunroom surrounded by bright green grass and you wouldn’t believe the work it took to get them all just right/get rid of all the funky green casts! I wouldn’t trade it, though; the setting was gorgeous and now they have some unique-to-them photos. ✨
