Documenting weddings and love stories in western Michigan & destinations worldwide. I'm Kristen, and I’m so glad you found my little corner of the internet.

I approach wedding photography a little differently than most photographers. I focus on the small, seemingly insignificant moments during a wedding day. The wind blowing through a bride’s hair. Kiddos stealing cupcakes at the reception. Grandparents holding hands during the vows. The sun peeking through the trees at sunset. A flirty glance from a bridesmaid to her date. I’ll get the big ones too.

But I believe capturing all those small moments and details are what make your love story your love story. Most of my inspiration is from nature, human emotion, and the perfectly imperfect photographs from the film days. I’ve photographed hundreds of couples over the past 10 years and sometimes I get the question, “After seeing so many couples interact together, can you tell which couples are actually going to last?!”

Oof, this is always a tough one. But the reality is, some couples stand out to me more than others as far as “making it.” And it all comes down to how genuine their spirit is and what is most important to them when it comes to celebrating their love and wedding.

Erica and Josh… STAND OUT COUPLE. The genuine love and care they have for each other is truly magnetic and beautiful. Photographing for couples who are completely and totally in love is why I love my job so so much. This is gonna be a good one. 💞

I had the honor of photographing a brand session for a gorgeous, talented wedding photographer this summer who requested all film.

It’s wild to think that one year ago we didn’t even know each other. Since then we’ve worked together, photographed together, traveled internationally together, and had so many incredible conversations about the things that matter most in life.

Grateful for her friendship. And incredibly happy with the way the session turned out.
