I am a small-town Michigan girl with a lifelong passion for photography. Since I started wearing glasses, I became especially amazed with the ability to zoom into details and capture a moment for eternity. My first camera was a Samsung which was gifted to me by my father in 2018 which traveled with me to Iowa and around Michigan. In 2020 I made the investment for my first Nikon, a COOLPIX P900. Th

is is the camera that I have captured most of my pictures with to this day. In the fall of 2021, I graduated from Grand Rapids Community College with an Associates in Business Administration. With more time on my hands I have decided to shift my focus on my passions and share my photos with the world.

Had a little photoshoot with this sweet angel the other day. She came into my life exactly when I needed her, and although things have been hectic she brings peace to my soul every day. She's so curious about the world, protective of our family and often goes out of her way to make me laugh. I couldn't ask for a better girl.

It's meeeeee 🤪

Sometimes you need to heed what your body is telling you above your aspirations.

Between burnout, grief, work, family health complications and the atrocities occurring daily, my body was SCREAMING to take a break.

So, I listened. Winter provided a wonderful opportunity to walk away from social media and focus on myself. During this period my camera stayed on its shelf. I picked up on some of the other hobbies I enjoy, made time for loved ones, and gave myself permission to be lazy. I found some peace in this hibernation ✨️

Don't get me wrong, this post doesn't end with "and now I'm all healed". I'm still struggling against the weight of the world, holding my breath every time news breaks. Still exhausted from work and worried about my family. But, I am ready to pick my camera up again and rejoin my social accounts with a rested mind palace.
