I haven't been kayaking much lately but since it's going to be a beautiful day today I'm hoping to get out there & hopefully see a new loon chick!

I had taken photos of the mother loon on her nest on 6-19-2020, so this baby was born between 6-19 & 6-21 (I spotted the baby on the 21st but didn't have my camera...just my phone/camera...so I went back on the 22nd.)

This as an amazing rare experience, the wind was blowing so strong that the clouds were moving very fast across the pond. I'll never forget standing on the shoreline taking photos. Such unusual colors. My friend, recently deceased, and talented gifted artist, Bill Tremble painted a beautiful painting of one of these scenes and his daughter Jen had it delivered to me! I'll always treasure it (posted it here when I received it last year)
