March 7, 2026 -In the first round of the USPHL Premier Division Playoffs, the Jr. Islanders hosted the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights in Game 2 of a best-of-three series. The Isles came out flying, netting three goals in the opening period and forcing the Knights’ starting goalie to the bench. They carried that three-goal cushion into the second, but the Knights clawed back with two goals, setting up a tense final period. In a matchup with more penalty minutes than shots on goal, the third period was a grind. When the horn sounded, the Islanders had preserved their one-goal edge, punching their ticket to Round 2. Hats off to both teams for a thrilling game, and congrats to the Islanders on advancing.
