It’s been a minute 👋🏻

Life got full.
In the best ways and the hard ways.
And I needed a little quiet.

But I never stopped believing in this.

Baby kisses.
Holding onto tiny hands.
Matching pjs.
Just being together.

That’s the stuff that matters.

This is why I still shoot film.
It slows me down.
It keeps me intentional.
It lets the light stay honest and the moment stay human.

I don’t photograph families to make them look perfect.
I photograph them so years from now they remember how it felt to be right there.

☀️Sandy toes, windblown hair, and parents outnumbered in the best way possible. We ran relay races down the shore, did approximately one million peace signs, and ended up in a heap of hugs more than once. Santa Barbara handed us the prettiest light, and film did the rest. These frames feel like happiness and laughter, and exactly why I love what I do.💕

Not to be dramatic, but this might be my Roman Empire.

Triple exposure, wildflowers, mountains, Holga, Ektar… basically everything I love, rolled into one dreamy film frame 🌸

I shot this on a hike in Washington and still can’t believe how it turned out. Light leaks, blur, a little chaos, and somehow it still feels peaceful. Film is magic like that.

Flew up to Washington.
Chased the sun.
Got the scans back.
Currently: in love with every single photo 😍

These were taken at Lake Quinault after an afternoon on Ruby Beach, and honestly, this session is proof that film + water + golden hour = actual magic ✨

I know I’m known for bold color, but the truth is, I shoot it all.

I love film in every way it shines.
What matters most to me is how it feels... the way it moves the person in front of my camera. What speaks to them. What they love.

Sometimes that’s wild color, light leaks, and big energy.

And sometimes, like this, it’s soft tones and quiet magic.

Still full of heart, just in a gentler way.
Same emotion, just softer. And I love it just as much. 🥰

And honestly, it might be time to bring a film workshop back where it all started

I have no idea what film stock this was, but my best guess is Portra 400.

Developed by a tiny lab in Nashville that doesn’t even exist anymore

(because that is the only kind of film camera I had at the time)

On a more serious note... summer is moving fast. These slow, golden evenings won’t last forever. If you’ve been dreaming of photos that feel like mismatched swimsuits, sticky hugs, salty kisses, maybe even a beach bonfire, I would love to make that happen.

Or whatever makes your heart happy. Let’s plan it.

Because the days feel long, but the years are not.

Shot on 35mm and souped in kitchen with no set recipe, just good people, salt water, and probably a little sand in the mix. We had no idea what would come back from the lab, but honestly, that’s half the fun.

It’s imperfect, colorful, and a little wild… just like those dreamy days at the ✨

This image feels like sunshine, laughter, and coconut-scented chaos, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
