10 Years of photographing the FIRST Robotics Competition at RIT has taught me that photography is more than just a means of documenting something. It is a way to reach the masses. A way to take a moment otherwise lost in time and save it for generations to come. FIRST understands the importance of photography. Photography is an ever-changing field. The technology is always improving and there will always be a need for capturing special moments in time. The same students that work through programs such as FIRST may someday be pioneers in creating the next big thing in the world of photographic technology. This is the future of this world, of photography, of us. We must invest in our children and their passion to succeed in whatever they put their minds to.
