Okay loves, I need some input! 🫶🏼🤍

My fiancé and I recently bought a house, and we’re currently renovating it! 🏡 This is actually a big part of why I’ve been so inactive on my photography page lately, so please be patient with me while we work on everything! There’s a lot going on behind the scenes, but I’m excited for what’s to come. 🥹🤍

There’s a room with its own separate entrance that has me thinking about some exciting possibilities for my photography business. 👀📸

I’ve been considering turning it into a little studio space, possibly offering boudoir/empowerment photography, winter mini sessions, or even newborn sessions! I’d also love the possibility of opening the space up to other photographers to rent for their own sessions.

This is definitely a down-the-road kind of idea while we get everything renovated, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Would any of you be interested in booking sessions in a space like this? And for my fellow photographers, would having a studio space available to rent be something you’d be interested in?

I’m open to any ideas, suggestions, or other types of sessions you’d love to see offered! Drop your thoughts below because I’d genuinely love your input. 🥹✨

I’ve been wanting to try something different for October! I’m thinking about doing spooky “stranger” sessions where you get paired up with someone you don’t know for a fun, Halloween-inspired photoshoot. 🖤📸

Maybe you’ll meet a new friend, maybe you’ll meet your person, or maybe you’ll just have a fun night and get some cool photos out of it! 👀🎃

🤍 A little update about my photography business

Now that I’m starting to charge for my sessions, I’ve decided that a percentage of my profit every month will go toward a good cause/charity including animal shelters, domestic violence prevention programs etc.

This allows me to give back, bring awareness to important topics, and still put money back into my business so I can continue growing and doing what I love. 📸

Like I’ve said before, this isn’t a get-rich-quick scheme for me. I genuinely want my photography to make a difference in more ways than just taking pictures. 🫶🏼

September is Su***de Prevention Month, so for September, 50% of my photography profits will be donated to the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention – Michigan Chapter. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who books, shares, likes, comments, and supports my little business. You’re helping me turn something I love into something that can help others too. 🥹

📸 A LITTLE BUSINESS UPDATE! 🤍

Hi everyone! Sadly, the time has come for me to officially start charging for my photography services. 🥹

I honestly feel like I’m finally at a comfortable place in my business to take this next step. I’ve had several clients encourage me to start charging, and I’ve even had people offer to pay me already. I’ve put so much time, money, and love into growing this business, and if I want to continue doing photography, I know this is the best decision for me and my business.

There’s also SO much that goes on behind the scenes that you don’t always see! 📸

✨ Editing software
✨ Different lenses & equipment
✨ Gas to travel to locations
✨ Contracts & business expenses
✨ SD cards & storage
✨ And, of course, countless hours editing and putting each gallery together

With all of that in mind, I truly feel that my pricing is fair and reflects the time, effort, and money that goes into each session.

BUT don’t worry! I will still be doing model calls, giveaways, and offering free photoshoots from time to time! 🤍

And for anyone who already has a free photoshoot scheduled with me — those are STILL a go! Nothing is changing for the sessions we’ve already talked about and scheduled. 🫶🏼

This has never been a “get rich quick” thing for me. I genuinely have a passion for photography. I love meeting people in my community, hearing your stories, making connections, and capturing memories that you’ll have forever. 🥹🤍
