It’s kinda funny I was thinking about how I first started getting into editing 51/2 yrs ago. When I first decided I wanted this to be a career back in 2020 I only ever shot in JPEG and my setting never left SP. That professional status I felt could only apply if I shot in raw and manual mode. So I watched endless YouTube vids, online tutorials, and attended virtual workshops. And honed in on mastering my settings. Then comes K temp and again I felt I couldn’t call myself a professional unless I mastered this as well. Then I had to figure out how to enhance my now raw files. Gosh I can barely look back at my old work without cringing. So much trial and error. I would also just edit from my phone thinking that was acceptable. I upgraded to a proper laptop of course that is fully compatible for my editing needs! I don’t look at this as just a job. This is my art. This is how I express myself. This is how I give back. Not sure where I was going with this but I’m just happy with how far I’ve come! The struggles and experiences I’ve endured to get here. It’s nice to look back and realize hey you’re doing amazing! It’s okay to be proud of yourself. We all start somewhere and never stop learning. Always more to gain. Anyways thanks for reading all the way through!
