She experiences the world through a lens all her own.
She feels deeply, creates fearlessly, and stays true to herself.
And today, she graduates as Valedictorian!!

Congratulations Maya! So proud of you! I can't wait to see where your path leads next.

It's graduation season!! And I couldn't be happier to celebrate this special senior.

Photographing Maya was such an honor. Her talent is undeniable, and so is her authenticity. She has never tried to be anyone other than herself—the world needs more of that.

Before you know it...

One day you're nurturing them in your womb…
the next, you're chasing them around the house.

Months of waiting, feeling every kick, wondering who they'll be.
And suddenly—they're everywhere. Running, climbing, laughing.
It's loud.
It's exhausting.
And somehow, beautiful.
Be in the photos.
Even when you're tired.
Even when the house is messy.
Even when you don't feel "put together."

One day, these will be the memories that warm your heart.

Happy Mother’s Day 💛
This year, I unexpectedly get to spend Mother’s Day caring for my own mom — the woman who once cared for me.
There’s something tender about realizing the cycle of motherhood eventually comes full circle.
And it reminds me how fleeting these seasons of life really are.

So for the month of May, I’m offering a special Motherhood Portrait Experience focused on celebrating connection, love, and legacy.
✨ $390 Motherhood Portrait Experience
(A $750 value)
Includes:
• Style & design consultation
• Portrait session
• 1 framed portrait
• Digital gift voucher

Book in May 2026 and schedule your session anytime June–August 2026.
Also available for Fatherhood sessions ahead of Father’s Day next month.
The photos we take today become the memories our families hold onto tomorrow.

Message me for details or to reserve your session.

Two things that bring me peace and joy when my mind feels restless and unsettled: being in nature and creating art.
Both are deeply therapeutic for me. And this time of year, living in the Pacific Northwest feels like being in paradise… or at least a short drive to it.
One of my favorite places in the world is the Columbia River Gorge in spring. No matter how many times I go, it fills me with the same sense of wonder and awe. The waterfalls, the wildflowers, the majestic boulders—it never gets old.
It’s no surprise this is such a beloved spot for photos. But please stay on the trails and honor signs that restrict areas for restoration, so this landscape can be enjoyed for years to come. These places stay beautiful only when we care for them.
I'm curious...
What’s your go-to activity to relax?
Where is your favorite place to get lost—your little piece of zen?

A celebration of motherhood.
A circle of blessings.
A baby already surrounded by so much love.

I had the honor of photographing a traditional Valaikappu — a beautiful South Indian baby shower ceremony where family and friends gather to bless the mother-to-be and the little one she carries.
I love learning about different cultural traditions and seeing how the journey into motherhood is celebrated and revered in so many meaningful ways. Being trusted to document moments like this is something I never take lightly.
A special shout-out to the talented grandma-to-be, who handmade the gorgeous garland for this ceremony. If you’re looking for beautiful floral garlands and accessories for your celebrations, she’s the one to call!

A kind, gentle, loving face I miss so much. I miss wrapping my arms around her frail frame, embarrassing her with hugs. My Ammachi.
She'd brush me away when I turned the camera on her, saying, "why waste your photos on an old wrinkled woman, go photograph someone young and pretty". She couldn't possibly know the treasured gift these photos of her would become to us. It takes us right back to a time we could still sit with her, hug her, and be wrapped up in her stories. ❤️

I needed a lighthearted distraction today… and this felt like the perfect one.

Because behind every photoshoot is a person doing a whole lot more than just clicking a button. 😄

Some professions choose you, and teaching is one of them.

I grew up surrounded by teachers—my grandparents on both sides, my aunts, my mother-in-law—and I’ve seen how deeply they pour into their students and the lasting impact they have. So when Aliyah was nominated for my International Women’s Day Portrait Giveaway, I felt instantly connected to her story… and so excited to create something meaningful just for her.

When we sat down to plan her portrait, I asked her my favorite question:
“How would you like to be photographed?”
As we talked, her passion for her students, her purpose, and the heart behind her 18 years of teaching came alive. And slowly, a vision formed—one rooted in joy, resilience, and the lasting impact of a teacher.

Aliyah shared this memory with me, and it shaped everything that followed:
“In 2020, I was gifted a beautiful print of my profile filled with butterflies and poppies—each one created by my students. It came during a year when teaching was turned completely upside down. My class and I laughed, cried, and somehow found our way through online learning. When I look at that print, and now this portrait, I’m reminded what this work is really about. It’s a privilege to show up for children every day. I wouldn’t do anything else.”

Her words became the soul of this portrait.
The students artwork inspired the headpiece I created by hand.
And the final portrait—an ode to the calling that has shaped her life and touched so many others.

Aliyah—thank you for the heart you bring to your work, for the difference you make every single day, and for trusting me to tell a piece of your story through this portrait.
Swipe to watch the reel to see our journey from idea → inspiration → creation.
