Back in January, we had the opportunity to complete a large-scale thermal drone wildlife survey for a Property Owners Association in Indiana. Using thermal drones, we were able to cover a ton of ground and help provide real wildlife data for future property and wildlife management decisions.

Definitely one of the cooler projects we’ve worked on this year and a great example of how thermal drone technology can be used outside of just deer recovery.

These two were missing for over 24 hours.
With thermal drones and a lot of ground covered, we were able to locate them and get them home safe

This dog got out Tuesday night around 8 PM, and after a full 24 hours with no sightings, we were called in the following night. We got eyes on him in about 35 minutes, roughly .75 mile from home in the woods.

We stayed on him as he moved, and he ended up working his way back to within about a tenth of a mile from the house. His owners were able to ease out into the field and safely recover him.

This one made it easy, he walked most of the way back and came straight to his owners. A great outcome, he’s back home where he belongs.

We recently completed an 1,800 acre wildlife survey across two properties here in southern Ohio for a local organization. This data will be used to help guide their management plans moving forward.

Nick from Warbucks came down and helped knock this one out with me. We had snow on the ground with light snow falling throughout the day, which made for some great conditions.

We turned up a lot of nice deer and some other cool finds. We’re also putting together an educational video from this project that will be coming out later this year.

We recently completed a 2,500-acre thermal drone wildlife survey for a Property Owners Association in Indiana.

Using two drones, we were able to cover the entire property in a single day and provide detailed, data-driven insights on deer population, movement, and distribution.

We located over 240 deer, with some bucks still holding antlers, turkeys and a couple of bobcats on the property.

This data will play a key role in helping the community establish accurate and cull numbers moving forward.

Tonight we went to the Ohio Trophy Pursuit banquet presented by Rx Archery and had a great time. This is an event we sponsor and always enjoy being a part of. Casey does a great job putting everything together and it’s always a great atmosphere. Congrats to all the top teams. We even ended up leaving with a few prizes, Mission bow, feed and attractants. Thanks to all the sponsors for making the night possible, and thank you for letting us set up the drone as well. Great evening all around.

Diesel’s recovery 🐾
Diesel got out around 7 a.m. He’s an older dog and half blind, and his owners had been searching for hours with no luck. On top of that, storms rolled in and the weather was pretty nasty.
It took us about an hour to get there, but we caught a short break in the rain and got the drone in the air. Conditions still weren’t great, but we were able to locate Diesel in about 20 minutes.
He was just wandering around in the woods. Once we found him, we guided the owner right in to him.
Happy to say Diesel is back home safe.
