I will now always cheer for the bride-to-be to take photos with her girls and her fiancé with BRIDE balloons. It adds in a little difference with photos and gives you both your girls and your fiancé in one. What could be better?

It is always a privilege when someone you know wants you to shoot their daughter's bridal asking party! I couldn't be more thankful to all who think of me and allow me to capture such important moments.

This day was so much fun! From the details, to the actual gifts given to the girls for accepting the ask, and just the lively personalities, it is by far one of my favorite things I have shot this year thus far. Everyone was just having an amazing time celebrating the couple and getting ready for all the extras that come with wedding planning.

One thing I’ll always tell my couples…build more time into your timeline for these moments.

Not just for photos, but so it doesn’t feel rushed. So you’re not thinking about what’s next or being pulled in a million directions. So you actually get a second to be together.

Because this part of the day? It’s where everything finally feels real.
You’re married, you’re together, and you actually get to take it in instead of just moving through it.

These photos only feel like this because they had the space for it — to walk, to laugh, to be close without being rushed through it.

And that’s something I’m always helping plan for behind the scenes… because it makes all the difference in how your day feels and how your photos turn out.

It started raining as they read their vows to each other.

The kind of rain that could’ve shifted everything about the day but it didn’t. They stayed right there, close together, fully in it, letting everything else fall away and just focusing on what they were saying to each other.

Moments like this are exactly why I love including black & white images in a gallery.

There’s something about stripping everything back, no color, no distractions, that lets you feel the moment more. The way they held onto each other under the umbrella, the quiet in-between seconds, the emotion in their faces… it all just stands out in a different way.

Not every photo needs it, but the right ones do. And when they do, they tend to become the ones you come back to the most.

Days like this are always a reminder that it’s not about everything going perfectly… it’s about how it felt 🤍
