HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY!

I could not pass up a chance to celebrate my little baby, Zoey. It has been more than 7 years since her adorable self was rescued, and I couldn't be happier with being able to call her my shadow. She moves as I move. She has learned my camera bag and knows when it comes out, that I am leaving for the day and it is so heartbreaking. But, to be able to see that tail wage when I get home makes every single day an amazing one. To know her is to truly love her. She is the sweetest soul and, honestly, has been my mental rock since she came into the picture.

I love full-blown corgis and so many other dog breeds, but it truly was a blessing to be able to find a baby that is a corgi and golden retriever mix at a shelter. It is important to adopt those in need. Zoey was underweight when we got her because the shelter was in the middle of a move and just had too many animals. They had found her on the side of the road. So please, always think of adopting at your local shelters because they need our love just as we need theirs.

Looking back on my work from years ago but in a new style truly makes my love for my job come back to life. My creativity has been slacking. This year has been hard both personally and business wise. But being able to look back and see the beauty I have captured of others and the ability to be able to continue to do it, is amazing.

I have grown so much since this shoot back in 2023, and I am looking forward to a busy season starting to continue to let those creative juices flow. The different lighting I love to play with now, and the candid and documentary moments, are coming to the feed for sure.

I continue to be in awe of those who allow me to capture them and create beautiful memories and art of them. My passion is starting to shine again, and thank fu***ng goodness for it.

I absolutely love shooting engagements! It is the moment that the timeline to the wedding begins. I have so many couples who I have had the pleasure of shooting their proposal, engagement photos, and then the big day. It absolutely warms my heart, especially when the proposal is so sweet and special to them.

I remember this proposal like it was yesterday, even though it was about three years ago lol. The whole conversation leading up to it, the hiding behind this huge fountain, and the extreme happiness that came across her face as he got down on one knee. It was an absolutely beautiful sight! And now, they are about to have their first child!

It really is an honor to capture the most intimate moments in my couple's lives.

Another little state park action... Mohican. It is stunning there and a perfect place for engagement photos. This session, it just so happened to start raining while we were finishing up. Peep that last photo to see how much fun we had getting into the water and having a little notebook moment.

Don't ever be afraid of having a little fun with photos. Rain and all... it will come out beautiful!

It is that time of year when the elopements are coming to life in the beautiful trees of Hocking Hills. I had the privilege this week of shooting one, so I wanted to share an older one that I had a couple of years back.

Elopements are perfect for those who don't like the spotlight and want something super intimate. This day was so fun and stress-free. We just vibed and went with the flow on capturing the beauty of both the couple and their surroundings.

I will now always cheer for the bride-to-be to take photos with her girls and her fiancé with BRIDE balloons. It adds in a little difference with photos and gives you both your girls and your fiancé in one. What could be better?
