In Memory of my daughter Michelle, on her 39th birthday, I thought I would share some photos of a young man who is near and dear to my heart, Rece Sweere!💚💚 You see, he and Michelle are connected by Organ Donation...Michelle was an Organ Donor and affected the lives of four individuals with her donation and Rece was a Heart Recipient when he was just 8 days old (at that time he was the youngest organ transplant patient in the state of WI).

I'm not sure if we would have become good friends without this connection but it has been one that will never be lost. Rece and his family are wonderful human beings and I am grateful for them all.

For those of you who don't know, Michelle's liver was donated to a great lady in Iron Mountain Michigan named Charlotte and one of her lungs went to a man named Bob in southern Wisconsin. We got to meet both of these sweet people and I was glad that Michelle got to extend their lives; Bob's by 7 years and Charlotte's by 20!! We never met the other two.

As I've been going through photos I came across these gems!! In 2010 The Transplant Games were held in Madison, WI and Brian, Jason & I went as did the Sweere family. Rece was going to compete and one of his events was the bike race! As you look at these photos and think about how far he has come (he is now a teacher!!) think for a second about the child who donated his/her heart. Organ Donation is SO VERY IMPORTANT in our lives and I hope the parents of Rece' heart donor think about the person who received that heart and somehow sense what they agreed to do all those years ago gave us a wonderful young man who is making the difference in students lives. Rece, I love you...with all MY HEART!!💚💚💚

Yesterday I decided to spend part of my day with my Aunt Helen. I wanted to take her to West of the Lake Gardens in Manitowoc, and I was sure she had been there before. WELL, she had NEVER been there and she is a flower lover and she was amazed at what she saw!! Sometimes she was almost speechless at the beauty!!😍 To say she enjoyed it was an understatement!! Brian and I were there in mid July and all plants were much more beautiful and full yesterday! As I've said before, you need to see it to believe it!! And my photos do not do it justice!! If anyone has an interest in going, please let me know!!!🌾💐🌹🥀🪻🌺🌼🌸
