✨ Sunset Senior Portraits by the Water ✨

This beautiful senior session was the perfect combination of glamour, golden light, and a little Colorado adventure. After being pampered with professional hair and makeup, we headed to the reservoir for sunset portraits—and the evening light was absolutely gorgeous.

Of course, Colorado had to add a little excitement! The wind decided it wanted my light stand to go for a walk, despite the rocks weighing it down. Thankfully, Mom was there to help hold everything steady! 😂

There’s something exciting about photographing a student on the threshold of their senior year. It’s a season filled with anticipation, possibility, and just enough uncertainty to make it unforgettable. This recent senior portrait session in Downtown Denver perfectly captured that feeling.

On a beautiful day in May, I met up with a young man who is about to begin his senior year of high school. From the very beginning, it was clear that he has a bright future ahead of him. Thoughtful, confident, and easygoing, he brought a quiet confidence to the session that made photographing him a joy.

This fall session by the lake in Littleton was pure magic. The weather was perfect, the sunset was absolutely breathtaking, and the way the light reflected across the water with the mountains in the background… it felt like a dream. 🌅

And these twins—such a sweet brother and sister duo—brought so much joy and playfulness to the evening. Double the giggles, double the love. 💛

✨ Sometimes the hardest part is just showing up ✨

Last fall, I went into a family session carrying a lot. My mom was in and out of the hospital, and if I’m being honest, I didn’t feel fully present or excited the way I usually do.

But I showed up… and everything shifted.

We had the most beautiful golden hour session with a sweet single mom and her two kids. Laughter came easily, the light was stunning, and for a little while, I felt grounded again. 💛

Her 4-year-old daughter was full of joy, and her 10-year-old son was the kindest soul—he even carried my heavy light stand (with a sandbag full of rocks!) all the way back to the car without being asked. Such a small moment, but it meant so much.

The photos turned out absolutely beautiful—but more than that, this session reminded me that even in hard seasons, there is still space for connection, joy, and something really meaningful.

Every so often, a portrait session transforms the studio in ways I never could have imagined. Recently, I had the absolute joy of welcoming a sound healing practitioner into my studio for a day of soul-aligned branding portraits, and the experience was nothing short of magical.

What is normally a quiet portrait space was completely transformed into a sacred sound healing sanctuary—filled with instruments, resonance, and an atmosphere of deep presence.

When she arrived, she brought with her an incredible collection of instruments used in her sound healing practice: crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, a monochord, chimes, tuning forks, and Native American flutes. Each instrument carries its own tone, vibration, and purpose within the healing experience she creates for her clients.

Watching the room come alive in this way was so inspiring. It felt less like preparing for a photoshoot and more like preparing for a sacred gathering.
