Crashing my drone in a swamp was wild experience, but it was worth it for that view of a cypress dome 🌳
I had this crazy idea in my head for a while to capture a cypress dome from above and it was going pretty well. I was threading the drone through the canopy and in awe at what I had captured.
But after I got the money shot I got a little too comfortable flying next to the vegetation, and sure enough my drone ended up in the swamp water.
Once it hit the water I ran over and ripped the battery out before anything could get too water logged. Put it in a bag with some damp rid when I got home and luckily it still flys like nothing happened.
Was it stupid? Maybe
Was it worth it? Hell yeah
