Up at Higgins Lake this weekend and decided to make sure I remembered how to take pictures. We went on a trail ride from Higgins to Grayling which provided a couple of photo opportunities to show off the in-law's jeep as well as the mighty Manistee River.

The weather has been a little crazy up here and boating has been out of the question, but it provided some pretty cool pictures that show the blues of Higgins Lake!

Took the camera out for a little morning session Saturday since the wind had calmed down a little and the snow was still prevalent. Got lucky enough to see a couple of deer! Here are the remainder pictures from our Colorado trip. Many of these are IPhone pictures as I didn't want my clumsiness to take the life of my big camera haha. Here are some pictures from Day 3 & 4 of the Colorado trip! We stayed in Ouray Monday and Tuesday night. Monday night we traveled the Million Dollar Highway to Silverton, CO where we saw our first Elk and a couple of Moose! Today we hiked to the Lower Cascade Falls and visited Telluride. The Canon did not make the trip to Telluride, but I have some phone pictures I will post later!!

Decided to mess around with some night shots tonight. Still figuring out the process, but it is coming along! The first picture was my setup, finally got a tripod and has made a HUGE difference for shots like these! The next post will be from various states and areas on our way to Colorado for vacation, stay tuned!!
