This verse can be hard to swallow at times. But we should look past our ego and be selfless, not acting in rivalry, pride, or looking for personal gain. It’s ok to be proud of the things you have accomplished, but just like it says in Proverbs 16:18, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Always remember what God gives he can take away!
