I love this trend because it shows for anyone a single desicion you make really can have such a lasting impact on the trajectory of your life and you not even know it at the time.
I'm so appreciative for the choices that led my husband, Campbell, and I to in Hiddenite, NC. Last minute of our honeymoon in April 2023 we decided to make a detour on the way home to Wilmington to take our chance at rockhounding here. We completely fell in love with the place even though we found nothing in the digsite, we knew we'd have to come back to try again with more time. 💚
2 years later and we got Campbell started working here in the sluiceway. Wasn't long before he got to bragging about my photography and how I could possibly be some help for the mine. 🩷
I've never been more grateful for my BFA in Documentary Photography from but really to myself for putting in that time, work, and management of anxieties/fear. Choosing to have enough faith in myself when I knew there'd be struggles. I refused to buckled under the pressure to change my major to graphic design/ marketing. 4 years after graduating and I can say I'm proud of that decision.
I love architectural photography and I love documentary photography, I hope to showcase both my inspirations with intention and care. Excited for the future!
