Every wedding day is unique, and no single photography style can tell the entire story. That’s why I use a combination of posed, prompted, and candid photography throughout your wedding day. This approach allows me to create a comprehensive gallery that not only includes the timeless portraits you’ll frame and share for years to come, but also the genuine emotions, meaningful interactions, and fleeting moments that made your day uniquely yours.
**Posed**
Posed photos are the more traditional, guided images in your gallery. Don’t worry, I won’t leave you guessing what to do with your hands! I’ll provide clear direction and guidance to create those polished, timeless portraits while ensuring you still look and feel like yourselves.
Examples: Your formal portraits - family portraits, wedding party photos, bride and groom formals.
**Prompted**
Prompted posing blends direction with natural interaction. Commonly starting from a posed stance, I’ll give you easy prompts that encourage movement, conversation, and genuine connection. These images often feel relaxed, joyful, and authentic giving that “candid” look but in a controlled setting for quality portraits.
Examples: Walking hand-in-hand, sharing a joke, dancing together, embracing those you love, or those clean getting ready moments.
**Candid**
Candid photography is all about capturing real moments as they naturally happen. These photographs preserve the emotions, reactions, and interactions that tell the story of your wedding day without interruption or direction from me.
Examples: Private vows, reactions during the ceremony, laughter during speeches, hugs from loved ones, guests enjoying cocktail hour, kids playing on the dance floor, and all the beautiful in-between moments you may not even realize are happening.
By combining all three approaches, your final gallery will feel complete and filled with timeless portraits, authentic interactions, and meaningful moments that allow you to relive your wedding day exactly as it unfolded.
