🏃🏻♀️ I'M RUNNING THE 2026 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON WITH TEAM FOR KIDS!!
For those of you that don't know, Team for Kids is a team of runners who raise funds so that New York Road Runners can provide free running programs, coaching and community events and programs for kids, especially in underserved neighborhoods. Every dollar raised will help empower young children to develop and encourage healthy habits, confidence and community through running.
I didn't grow up running. I started much later, mostly because I needed something to challenge me, quiet my mind and make me feel strong again. I had no idea how much running would change my life, but it has taught me discipline, perseverance, resilience and the importance of goal-setting.
Yes, I am running 26.2 miles, but it's so much bigger than just that. I want kids to experience that same kind of empowerment way earlier than I did. Kids who learn early that they can do hard things grow up believing they can do bigger things. Adults spend years trying to heal what they never learned when they were young and giving these tools to kids early on is prevention instead of repair.
Each dollar is going towards a kid's first bib, their first running buddy and their first "I DID IT" moment, which is a feeling that will last far beyond the miles.
My goal is to raise $4,000 to support this incredible cause. Every single donation, big or small, helps give more kids the opportunity to chase their own dreams. Any amount truly helps. THANK YOU!
