Sweet Lilypad, lovingly adopted around 18 months of age, spent 13 beautiful years by her family’s side. She was loyal, gentle, and in her mom’s words, their guardian angel.

I had the honor of capturing some beautiful moments surrounded by love. These sessions are never easy, but they are deeply meaningful and a way to hold onto the quiet glances, familiar touches, and unconditional love that never truly leaves us.

Please keep Lilypad’s family in your thoughts as she has since crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. ❤️🌈

“Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent. Her eager body quivers. Suddenly she begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.”

This sweet soul is Boomer. He is a 12.5 year old English Bulldog that was sadly recently diagnosed with a mass on his spleen. His mom has been with him since he was born and has showered him with love. Today, he enjoyed our walk through the park and loved eating treats and chomping at bubbles. You can see how much love him and his mom and dad have for each other.

This sweet little guy is Chase and he is my best friend’s dog. Chase joined their family at 7 weeks old and is now 11 years old. Chase has heart disease and had a scare a few weeks ago when he experienced a left atrial rupture. Chase underwent a procedure and started some new medications to help him out, but unfortunately the amount of time he has left is uncertain.

During our session, Chase enjoyed barking at other dogs with his brother at the park and got lots of love from his mom and dad.

This sweet little girl is Shiloh. She is about 13 years old and was adopted by her family 11 years ago. Sadly, Shiloh was recently diagnosed with oral cancer and her tumor is getting bigger every day. With the uncertainty of how much time Shiloh has left, her mom reached out and wanted to set up a session as soon as possible. Luckily, we had a day at the beginning of January where the weather was about 50° so we took advantage of it and got our session done with just enough daylight.

Shiloh enjoyed running around with her kids and getting love from her mom and dad.

This sweetheart is Lollipop. She and her sister joined their family when they were just 8 weeks old and now they are 11 years old. Lollipop was diagnosed with liver cancer and has sadly stopped responding to the medications, but she is still full of life and love. Lollipop is the sweetest girl and enjoyed her time rolling around on her back and getting lots of love from her mom and dad.

A few days ago, my coworker reached out to set up an End-of-Life session for her sweet little family dog, Pepper. Her family got Pepper when he was just 6 months old. Now he is 15 years old and he was sadly diagnosed with kidney failure last week.

Pepper is blind, but still enjoyed our session with all of the scents at the park and even enjoyed some lettuce as a treat. While blindness and old age have slowed him down, his family says he’s still as feisty as ever and does what he wants when he wants!
