Summertime on a family’s farm feels like pure magic. 🌾☀️🌾☀️ There’s a certain calm that comes with wide-open country spaces, rustic fences, cows, goats and chickens grazing in the pasture and the sounds of nature surrounded by a warm evening glow. I spent the evening capturing the in-between moments: kids running barefoot through the garden, venturing through an old animal barn, snuggles on the porch steps, and laughter carrying across the fields.

I adore you Cripe Family! You are a blessing to all know you, and I’m happy to get to call you friends. I know these images will bring you JOY for decades to come!

I had such a delightful sun-drenched summer morning ☀️ with this beautiful family as they ventured around Cool Creek Park. We documented their littlest lady turning 1 year old. I photograph portrait sessions Monday - Thursday. The most flattering & pretty sunlight appears during the morning or evening hours for outdoor sessions. In-home sessions for families or branding clients may be photographed throughout the day while the brightest indoor natural light is available.

When you frame a darling moment like this from your session with me, it fills your home with a spark of JOY that you’ll re-live every time you walk by. What a PRICELESS gift to be reminded—every single day—of the people you’ve been so blessed to love.

I have dozens upon dozens of favorite images from this family’s sunset session at their beautiful horse farm in Northern Indiana. Until I share more, here’s a peaceful glimpse of the five of them, snuggled together on a crochet blanket in their horse pasture on a hazy summer night. I see giggles, stories being told, silly chaos & endless amounts of happiness being savored by these parents. I know this will be a picture/moment they treasure forever! An emotion-filled reminder of just how magical childhood has been with their three girls.

Sharing a full gallery of one of my favorite family sessions to this date! These darling images were captured last mo th around this family's gorgeous rual horse farm in Northern Indiana. I followed the sweet girls as they cuddled kittens, pet their beautiful horses, gathered chicken eggs, snuggled on a blanket with their beloved parents & as they played together on their backyard swing set. The precious magic of an idyllic childhood summer shines bright! Moments turned into heirlooms to enjoy for decades to come. I'm sure these pictures will bring a smile to your face too!

I love this quote because it embodies so much of what we often forget to strive for while we are raising little ones. Even though, the seemingly little moments of slowness, playfulness, character, gentleness and love are what turn into to the most important values we can instill in our children for their future. It’s a lovely reminder throughout parenthood 🙂

Newfields Gardens | Booking Changes For 2025

I’ve photographed around the GORGEOUS Newfields Gardens & Lily Mansion for 20 full years throughout my wedding & portrait career. It’ll forever be one of my favorite Indiana locations because of its classic BEAUTY! The Indianapolis Museum of Art has tightened their photography policies for 2025, making the pre-planning & ticket process more involved. I’m currently booking all Newfields Sessions now, for the remainder of the year because of the new entry availability being very limited.

MY SESSION AVAILABILITY:
My standard photography portrait session schedule is Monday-Thurdays during the week. Thursday is the ONLY evening during my normal availability that Newfields is open into “Golden Hour”. Mondays they are fully closed. Mornings are also an option at Newfields for me Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays too. However most families enjoy the evenings.

The Indianapolis Museum of Art also starts decorating for Pumpkin Fest in September & then goes right into their Winter Lights event, so the gardens are only in bloom & open for sessions in April through early September each year!

THE NEW CHANGES:
Newfields has recently changed how they allow photographers to book online. A narrow time-block is now required to be chosen when scheduling, along with ONLY a limited amount of photographers/tickets allowed on the grounds during that short window of time. Going forward I’ll need to reserve a session timeframe 2 months in advance to ensure an open time-block is available for a morning or Thursday evening session. Thursday evenings always book up quickly too!

Newfields photo passes are still an additional $50 investment when booking to cover admittance to the grounds.

Newfields Gardens is always a sought after location for my current & future clients, so I wanted to send a little announcement to ensure that anyone wanting this gorgeous location in 2025 books with me now, so that I have time to reserve the date before the limited amount of passes are sold out.

I’m looking forward to creating more stunning images for my darling clients around the Art Center in my 20th yr of photography!!! It’s been an honor ♥️

Celebrated 2+ decades of loving each other over this sweet weekend. I consider myself one of the most blessed women in the world because I get to stand by your side, Brock Childs . Your tender, protective & generous heart cherishes me so well. Our 3 kids will always know how a man should treat those he treasures, because of the way you respect & honor us.

I thank God daily for the life we have gotten to build as teammates. What an adventure it’s been to get to grow up together for over half our lives! We don’t know adulthood without having one another to lean on.

We are RICH in everything that truly matters ♥️
