Out here, surrounded by the quiet strength of the mountains, Chelsea and her family chose to slow down and honor what really matters. This wasn’t just a vow renewal — it was a moment to hold onto each other, to reflect on how far they’ve come, and to look ahead with full hearts. The way they love — gently, intentionally, and with so much presence — was beautiful to witness.

These photos mean more than we can say. Taken at Black Balsam Knob—one of our favorite family hikes—just days before Hurricane Helene changed everything. In the calm before the storm, we held each other close and soaked in the golden light, not knowing how much we’d soon need these reminders of strength, joy, and togetherness. 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 love our time together!

Wrapped in the rhythm of water and time, this moment is a reflection of my journey — as a mother, as an artist, as a woman learning to embrace both stillness and motion. Motherhood has changed the way I see light, texture, and love — and Mother Nature has become my greatest collaborator. Through the lens, I chase movement that mirrors the emotions I carry: strength, softness, resilience. Every frame is a story of holding on and letting go, of creating beauty from the wild, and capturing the sacred in the simple.

Today I turn 42

I remember very distinctly being 18 years old envisioning what 25 would look like and how at that age I would be a certain way physically, financially, spiritually.

Then before I knew it I was celebrating my 25th birthday feeling like I let myself down, I didn’t meet those expectations.

I realized I could celebrate my disappointment or my gratitude - I could keep setting these bars for myself or I could allow myself to see what Gods plan was for me.

Everyday we experience life - and we choose to have an appreciation for those moments and what they bring or we can go against the grain.

Photography has brought me many years of challenges - in those moments I was creating gold - I was educating myself and I was giving families an eternal documentation no matter what - those were the sticking points. Looking back I am so dang fulfilled and grateful for it all.

The boundaries I have pushed for myself, for my subject, for this industry - I was here for a reason. I was here to invite humanity and the elements into my frame.

Today, I am ok saying I now have photography as a beautiful talent that I will carry with me on to my next journey!

Thank you all for the years of love and for the career that brought me more than I will ever be able to express in an IG caption 😘😘

I may not post as much but I am here
You can catch me on .nc as I begin my new chapter 🤍

Come visit!

Cheers
