Personality portraits. ❤️

Picture this… you come to my house, where my studio is located. Park, come inside to get dressed and ready, then the party starts. The perfect place for them to dance around, listen to music, and I can always grab a toy from around the corner in my living room if we need a quick distraction 🤭 and of course, I’m always going to see if mom will jump in for a few quick shots. It feels wrong not to!! Personality sessions with a touch of mama and me, too. 🥰

I book these sessions all year but especially love them during the hot summer months. For both you guys, and myself. 😂 thanks to sweet Meyer and her mama Charlie for always being amazing clients! ❤️

Well… hi again. 👋🏼

I’ve been soaking up summer with my family, editing as much as my computer can take, tending my garden (if you’ve followed my stories, you know 😂🌱), and taking a small break from social media.

But I’m back… and I couldn’t think of a better session to share! 🤭

My sister and her husband wanted to announce their sweet baby in the simplest way imaginable. No elaborate setup. No props. Just the Carolina coast, a handful of seashells, golden light, and one of the sweetest seasons of their lives (and mine!!).

That’s the thing I love most about photography… it doesn’t have to be complicated to be unforgettable. 🫶🏻

The places that already mean something to you: the beach you visit every summer, your grandparents’ backyard, your front porch, your family farm… those are the places that tell your story best.

As we head into late summer and all the cozy goodness of fall, my calendar is officially back open for families, couples, maternity, and seniors.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to book… this is it. 🤍

Kate’s cap and gown session 🤩 I photographed Kate’s senior portraits this past fall and I love seeing her 🫶🏻 so her cap and gown sesh this spring was the cherry on top for me! She’s also one of the sweet helpers at our church nursery and my kiddos LOVE when they get to see her. Kate, you’re such gem! 💕

I think we miss the beauty all around us each and every day… Not on purpose, but it becomes routine and not quite as noticeable. I get it!! Because same.

Oftentimes my clients tell me that they’ve been researching day after day trying to find the perfect location. And don’t get me wrong, I love to photograph at a notoriously beautiful location! But… not every meaningful place has a grand view. Sometimes it’s just your backyard.

The place where evening walks happen. Where dreams are shared… Where life slows down after a long day! The place that will forever hold pieces of your story. 💕

Ashley and Shane chose to document this season right at home, surrounded by the simple beauty of a place that already means so much to them. And honestly!? I don’t think timeless memories require anything more.

A beautiful field. Golden light. The anticipation of meeting their baby girl. That’s the magic!!!

If you’ve been putting off family photos because you don’t know where to go, let this be your reminder that sometimes the perfect location is already waiting outside your back door. 🤍

Soooo many late nights spent editing… and it’s so worth it!! I can’t wait to deliver all the sweet, sweet images I’ve been working on lately 🤭 but for now, snack break and IG break to show off Ariel and Trenton’s May wedding at Hillside!

The day started with many twists and turns, but these two braved the storms together (literally, as we watched the forecast all day) and it absolutely paid off. They had so many helping hearts and hands included in their day—I know it was everything they wanted and more. 🩵
