Tried to make the most of an awful, miserable rainy day yesterday by going out for a hike and lunch on trail. The theory of storing the tarp on the outside of the pack worked like a charm. I was able to set up a shelter before ever opening the pack. My gear stayed dry despite 3 hours of freezing rain. And I got to test out a new recipe, thanks to Chef Corso. I'd call that making lemonade out of lemons.

A few more from my shoot with the staff at the . This was such a fun collaboration between the and the Museum. Really enjoyed getting to know some of the office staff and some of the interpreters on site. As some of you know, I was a naturalist interpreter and an ag interpreter for many years before moving back into the camp world. Interpreters are good people and I whole heartedly support the work the interpreters everywhere are doing to educate the public in their communities.

Had the opportunity to teach a workshop on conceptual photography tonight for the . Our theme was to create a film noir inspired series of images. We talked about all sorts of tips, tricks, and techniques from finding models and building rapport, developing a theme, and all about lighting modifiers, light placement, and posing models on set to get the best from your shoot. Lee and Joy sat in as models for the evening, and these are just a couple unedited (or minimal phone edits) shots to share.
