I was really excited to do this shoot. Softball has been a part of this young woman's life long before she was born, starting with her grandma. She started swinging a bat probably before she started school. She cheers on her teammates with enthusiasm and has become a stronger player every year. And obviously she looks awesome doing it!

A perfect fall day in the Helena Valley brought out all the photographers, but we found this perfect little spot before it got overrun. The girls understood their assignment this year filling our session with the cutest smiles and darling laughs. Each year we all get a little better at this and can't wait to see what next year brings.

Don’t tell their kids or animals, but my favorite thing about their annual photo shoot is these two parents. Their kids are pretty darn cute but the kids hamming it up is nothing compared to the way these two look at each other.

Another year passed and oh how quickly it has gone by. We braved grasshoppers, bees and ants and Joe's sunflowers held out just long enough in this endless heat to capture this wonderful family. Love capturing a moment in time for this family each year as these girls just keep growing and growing!

Who doesn't love a fall photoshoot?

As challenging as it can be to wrangle small humans during a family photoshoot it is so fun to watch families grow and see how their personalities develop. Sweet little Abby sure is an independent woman and made sure to run the show letting us know when she was not feeling a particular pose. I think her judgement was quite sound and I hope she is pleased with the results! :) 😍

This is for all you awkward posers. Last night I decided I should try to get a maternity photo of our second child as his or her birth could happen any day now. After two hours posing on a chilly evening I had about 500 photos. I came inside, sat down and easily deleted all but 10 of these photos. Of those 10 photos I chose to edit 3. So awkward posers I am right there with you and I do my best to make you look fantastic when I have you in front of the camera and trying to learn how to make it less awkward all the time. (And yes I spent a good chunk of those 2 hrs laughing to myself at how ridiculous I felt).
