📸 Montana, you sure know how to put on a show.

Today’s adventure took me down some of Montana’s beautiful back roads as I explored Smith River State Park and Sluice Box State Park.

The scenery was incredible, but the wildlife definitely stole the show. 🦌🦅 I spotted deer, antelope, elk, bald eagles, golden eagles, hawks, prairie dogs, and squirrels — and naturally, I was constantly reaching for my camera. 😂

A little hiking, a lot of exploring, plenty of roadside photo stops, and lunch from a fantastic food truck in Neihart made for the perfect Montana day.

These are the days I love photographing most — the unexpected moments, wide-open landscapes, wildlife encounters, and all the little pieces of Montana that make you stop and say, “Wow.”

A little Stranger Sessions update ❤️

First, I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who showed interest in Stranger Sessions. What started as a little idea turned into something I absolutely did not expect—with dozens of people taking the time to fill out the questionnaire and so many of you excited to meet a stranger and see what happens. 📸

Unfortunately, my plans have changed unexpectedly and I’ll be moving back to Montana. Because Stranger Sessions was designed around meeting people here in Jacksonville, I’m not going to be able to move forward with the sessions as originally planned.

I’m genuinely disappointed that I won’t get to see some of these first meetings happen, especially after seeing how much interest there was.

But I don’t consider this the end of Stranger Sessions. I learned a LOT from this first experiment, and I still love the concept. I hope to revisit it when the timing and location are right.

Thank you for trusting me with your time, your answers, and your willingness to try something completely different. ❤️

And to everyone who followed along: thank you. This little experiment turned out to be much bigger than I expected. 📸

As a photographer, I’m always chasing light.

But sometimes the best light isn’t just something you capture—it’s something you feel.

August gave us plenty of it.

Golden evenings. Sunsets that stopped me in my tracks. Moments that deserved to be remembered.

So here’s one last August sunset before we turn the page.

WOW. I did not expect this. ❤️📸

Stranger Sessions — Session 001 has received an incredible response, and I'm officially blown away by how many of you are willing to step outside your comfort zone and meet a complete stranger.

I'm wrapping up the first round of applications tomorrow and will be going through everyone's responses to find the pairings that I think could create the most interesting first meetings.

I'm looking for a few guys in the Jacksonville area who are willing to do something a little outside the ordinary.

I'm a local photographer launching Stranger Sessions — The First Meeting, a photography project where I pair two people who have never met and photograph their very first interaction.

You won't know who you're meeting beforehand.

You'll show up.
You'll meet your stranger.
I'll be there with my camera.
And we'll see what happens.

It could be a friendship.
It could be chemistry.
It could simply be a really interesting experience with someone you'd never have crossed paths with otherwise.

Session 001 is completely free for the two people selected.

I'm specifically looking for men who are open-minded, comfortable trying something new, and willing to be photographed.

I'll thoughtfully pair two strangers based on personality, interests, energy, comfort level, and what they're hoping to experience.

📸 STRANGER SESSIONS — THE FIRST MEETING

What happens when two complete strangers meet for the very first time… and a photographer is there to capture it?

I'm finding out.

I'm launching Stranger Sessions, a new photography project built around connection, curiosity, and the unpredictable magic of meeting someone you've never met before.

For each session, I'll pair two people who have never met, bring them together for a relaxed photo session, and capture their first interactions as they unfold.

Maybe they'll hit it off.
Maybe they'll become friends.
Maybe they'll have absolutely nothing in common. 😂
Maybe something completely unexpected will happen.

That's the point.

For my very first session, I'm looking for two Jacksonville-area participants who are willing to be part of the experiment.
