Senior year is such a strange mix of excitement, nerves, lasts, firsts, big decisions, and moments you donā€™t realize youā€™ll miss until theyā€™re gone.

These photos get to hold onto a little piece of that.

Give me the moody skies and fall colors every single time.

Thereā€™s something about fall in the Wasatch Back that is just beautiful. The grasses turn golden, the hills start showing off those deep colors, and even a stormy sky somehow makes everything feel warmer and richer.

You donā€™t need a perfectly sunny evening to create beautiful photos. Sometimes the clouds, the wind, the movement, and that soft fall light are exactly what make a session feel so special.

Weā€™re still soaking up the last little bit of summer, but you can already feel the Wasatch Back starting to change. šŸ‚

Cooler evenings are creeping in, the hills are beginning to shift, and before we know it, those incredible fall colors will be here.

Itā€™s one of my absolute favorite times of year for family photos. The warm tones, soft evening light, and our mountain backdrop make for photos that feel timeless without needing much more than your family simply being together.

Meet Caroline āœØ

A senior at Park City Winter Sports School, an avid skier, and a girl with some pretty big dreams. Her goal is to continue skiing in college and eventually find her way to Maine. ā›·ļøšŸ¤

We spent her senior session wandering around Cascade Springs, chasing that gorgeous golden light, spelling wildflowers, and letting Caroline just be Caroline. She was so easygoing, so fun to photograph, and absolutely made my job easy.

Caroline, I canā€™t wait to see where those skis, and those dreams take you. šŸŽ“āœØ

Dad making his daughter laugh. Mom and brother a few steps ahead. Everyone relaxed, moving, laughing, and simply enjoying being together.

Thatā€™s what I want your family session to feel like. Weā€™ll get the beautiful portraits, of course, but weā€™ll also make room for the moments that are completely your own.

Some of the best family moments arenā€™t perfectly posed. Theyā€™re the ones where youā€™re simply together. šŸ¤

Holding hands. Getting your feet wet. Laughing at the kids. Helping each other across. Just being a family.

Someday these little hands wonā€™t be so little, and family adventures will look a whole lot different. But for right now, this is them. This is their childhood. This is your family in this exact season of life.

And I think thatā€™s pretty special. šŸ¤

Still obsessed with this best friend session. šŸ¤

Thereā€™s something so fun about capturing a friendship exactly as it is right now. The laughs, the inside jokes, the conversations, and the kind of friendship where you can just be completely yourself.

These two made the whole session feel effortless, and I love that theyā€™ll have these photos to look back on years from now and remember this season of life together.

As summer starts to wind down, it makes these simple moments feel a little sweeter. šŸ¤
The long evenings, the adventures, the laughs, the talks, and having a best friend beside you through all of it.
Seasons change, schedules get busy, and life keeps moving, but the friendships and memories made along the way are the things we carry with us.

One minute heā€™s little enough to wrap your arms around, laughing and being silly with youā€¦ and somehow, before you know it, heā€™s grown.

The years move fast, but the way he looks at his mom, the laughter they share, and that feeling of being completely safe with each other are the things you wish you could hold onto forever.

It's moments like this I absolutely love capturing.
Not perfect poses. Just love, connection, and a little piece of this season of life theyā€™ll always have. šŸ¤
