Seeing as how I fell off the face of the earth for a year, you can imagine the inspiration 😅🥰🩷 I am wildly grateful to be a 𝘛𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. Happy belated Mother’s Day to 🤍all🤍 the mamas out there!!
These are 3 of many to come. Stay tuned for more colors, variations and sizes. And many other mamas that were on my mind this past year 😁🥰 I’ll be taking these 3 to my friends at ! 🛍️

🤍 In absolute newborn bliss 🤍

A little over a week ago, our third arrow shot into the world all gas no brakes! At 5pm I was watering my garden, by 11pm he was in our arms 🥰

🤍⬇️ Birth story:
I got my VBA2C! Around 4:30p I got my first signs of labor. Thank goodness Alex talked me into going ahead and sending the kids because I thought we had plenty of time and didn’t want to just yet. Around 6:45 I had my first contraction that took me down, but I could still talk through them. They were like every 2-3 minutes but not a minute long. I was cleaning up and doing some last minute things in case we did go in that night. Again, totally convinced we had so much time lol. The contractions were getting worse so I got in the tub for some relief. They continued hard and quick! It got to where I couldn’t get through a contraction without Alex doing hip squeezes/counter pressure. My doula called after a few texts from me to listen in for the next contraction and she could hear it in my voice! She said ooookay I’m on the way!! But after the next contraction Alex said we are going to the hospital! He could see a major change with each contraction!
He flew down the interstate with hazards on while I hollered lol. I didn’t know it at the time (but should have looking back) but I was actually in transition! We got to the hospital and I could not walk! Madie pulled in right behind us and I swear if needed I could tell she was ready to catch that baby right there in that parking lot!! lol. Because my body had already started very much pushing for me. Alex comes up with a wheelchair on one wheel turning the corner so fast and all I could do was get in it backwards on my knees. As soon as I got on I felt my water break like it does on the movies, whoosh! Filled the wheelchair seat. I’m howling through each contraction as we enter the doors and needless to say we attracted some attention lol. (We all had some good laughs about this once the dust settled 🤪😆) We get in the room and quickly find baby is almost here!
He had what they called nuchal arm, which meant his arm was over his face. If it wasn’t he probably would’ve come in the car or parking lot!
Once we got in the room I was already spent. Without changing or any logistics we started right in to pushing! Alex, Madie and the midwife talked me through everything happening. Alex saying “that’s it Sydney!” gave me what I needed to muster up what I didn’t even realize I had left in me. I could tell he saw our baby! So with exhausted pushes and what little I had left, a wonderful midwife and team and the personal support of Madie, I saw Alex’s face go from concern to ‘it’s happening!!!’ to absolute and pure JOY. The purest happiness I’ve ever seen on someone’s face. (Wish I could relive that small moment over and over and over again 🥹) I could tell he was looking at me like “You did it. You! Did! It!” He knew how badly I wanted and prepared for this vbac. Then he yelled “ITS A BOY” and the most beautiful baby hit my chest. I was so disassociated at the time I’m so thankful to Madie for being sure I got all the small things I wanted in that time and capturing so many pictures and videos 🥹
It happened so quickly! But so perfectly!
He was here 🥰🥲 right on time at 41+1 🩵

We wear many hats, Mamas 🤍
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day 🩷💐

When I start sketching it doesn’t take long for them to join 🥰 and I love it. I love them watching me love what I do! And they’ve added 🤍so🤍 much meaning and fullness to my life. It’s changed and inspired me!
This next series has been in the back of my mind for a while—motherhood, pregnancy, loss, birth.
4 years of being pregnant, postpartum or miscarrying. 5 pregnancies, 3 births, 2 surgeries, 3 perfect children here with me.
This last pregnancy was quite the cap on my journey of pregnancy and birth! I came out of it with a testimony of the Lord’s closeness, and I’m SO grateful.

⭐️In help and inspiration for upcoming work, please comment or share a word or phrase or anything with me about motherhood, pregnancy, loss, birthing, etc.!⭐️ Something you experienced, the birth you had, something you’ve learned, the best or hardest thing, anything

I’ve had these women in my head this whole pregnancy 👩💖
Have been feeling very inspired through pregnancy, loss, rainbows after storms, the female body and all its changes and miracles. But right there along with all my normal favorites—line, shape and COLOR 🌈💖🖼️

I’m due in 3 weeks (or less🤞🏻) with our third baby, second rainbow. I was creating my last series when we went through our second loss and it helped me a lot in expression!
I can’t wait to come at this new series and see what comes of it 😃💖 With it being it felt like a great time to finally decide on and share these ladies!
Since I got very sick during my vintage ladies I’ll be finishing and posting those as well! Stay tuned 🥰

🤍 We can’t wait to meet you #3!! 🤍
