when people ask me how I got into photography I always tell them that it was an accident. I never meant to become a photographer and so I believe that I was chosen to. I believe that the camera chose me on that day on September 7, 2020 and it is a day that I will never forget..

My sweet boy.

It was taking pictures of my son that made me fall in love with documenting moments. This is the photo that changed my life.

My business is a baby as far as businesses go but the month of September makes it six years since I’ve been taking pictures. My son will be seven this year it’s funny how life works because maybe if I had never had my son who knows if I would’ve ever picked up the camera

I do NOT have any current affiliation with converse. I created this mock campaign before they released their recent campaign that was visually controversial. This decision was conflicting but ultimately I decided to share my work, not because I approve of their creative choices but because this project took months of planning, research, sourcing products, props (out of my own pockets), location, models, editing, etc. My intent with this mock campaign is to serve as a portfolio piece for my work not only as a photographer, but as a creative director which is where I want to pivot next in my creative career. I wanted to tell a story about friendship and memories by re-imagining a collaboration converse did earlier this year with hello kitty.

Angel sin Cielo: where is God

These are the last set of photos for this chapter, then I’ll resume exploring the sins. This chapter is meant to be a pause and reflection about life on earth, a question and also a plea. As I explore this photo series I am noticing how similar sin is to grief, we rage, rebel, plead, bargain and finally we accept. I chose to pause here specifically because I think the question is valid. God, where are you?
