One of my absolute favorite things in photography and life is to take something ordinary make it extraordinary. 

Like many, I had some difficult experiences in life. Still, I make every effort to find something beautiful in even the darkest places.

Take these photos of my friends as an example.  We needed to grab a few pictures and I was running short on time and it was too windy outside to take a chance.

So we went to a boring stairwell in our building and made it look beautiful! The truth is, you don’t need a perfect location or venue to have amazing results. Not in photography and not in life.

When without other options, take what you have and make the very best of it. You’ll be surprised what you can accomplish!

Soccer ⚽️ 🥅 is my love 😍. It reminds me of everything about being a mom, raising my children and teaching them some of the most important lessons in life. For example, sometimes your friends are playing for the other team. If you fall, get back up. Pass aka Delegate. Lead by example. I could go on and on. Watching my kids play has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. Today we watched our family friend, Angie. It brought me the same kind of joy. Here are some pictures from the game.

Last Wednesday I had surgery on my shoulder. The injury happened last September and had a huge effect on my business. I had to close my studio and was unable to do video work using my new stabilizer because I couldn’t lift it. Now, I’m hopefully on the road to recovery but it breaks my heart not having a camera attached to my hand every day. But I’ll be back, stronger than ever and I can’t wait to capture your most cherished moments. Here are a few more pictures from Jenny’s Quince in April! That was the last half-day shoot I did. I was in so much pain by the end, I couldn’t wait to get this surgery so I can get back to doing what I love, pain-free!
