I had the pleasure of taking Krystal and Timothy's wedding reception photos. They got married during the pandemic and this was the first time they were able to celebrate with family and friends.

Krystal and I went to jr. high and high school together. It's always an honor and privilege when a friend asks and trusts me to capture special moments for them. Here's a few photos from the celebration. Congrats Krystal and Timothy!

My portrait book is now available to purchase! I’m excited and proud to have accomplished this goal in making this book. Making a portrait book is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m proud of all these images in this book.

Probably one of the most, if not, most important portraits I’ve taken. When I say that it’s important to surround yourself with likeminded people who have a similar interests as you do, I could not have thought of a better person to do my first little session with, other than Reiann.

I remember how enthusiastic and natural Reiann was. After one shot, she would already be on to the next pose. It made it a little less nerve-racking for me, since really, I had no idea what I was doing. She made it so much more enjoyable probably than it should have been for my first time really photographing someone.

We were looking through a book for inspiration and came across a black and white photo of Adriana Lima smoking a cigarette. We were inspired to do something similar and this photo is what we came up with. It’s one of my favorite portraits that I’ve ever taken and has a special meaning to me.

1 week until my portrait book will be released for purchase!

I was able to revise the book to be able to bring the price down to what I originally wanted the book at, without compromising much really. I was also able to add more pages and photos!

Another perfect example of a collaboration! Early on I was eager to just try different concepts for shoots. I reached out to a couple friends to collaborate on a shoot. Looking for inspiration, I came across some photos where the makeup was just so colorful. I thought that I’d like to do something like that.

I reached out to Danielle to see if she wanted to model, as she was someone I wanted to work with. I also reached out to my friend Heather, who at the time was doing a lot of makeup tutorials on her youtube page.

I gave Heather some references on the make up, but ultimately left it up to her on how she wanted the final look to look like. I think that’s the point of collaboration, to leave room for everyone involved to give their suggestions and do their thing!

This shoot was early on in my journey, and the results that this session yielded got me really excited to keep going with photography!

Another one of my favorite images that I’ve taken, I think there’s another dynamic added when you add a second person to the portrait, especially when it’s a sister. Initially the day started with taking photos of Sel, and then I figured, since Ruby was there too, I might as well get some of her as well!

Then I had the idea of taking a portrait of them together. We quickly scanned some images for some inspiration and poses and came across an embraced pose. I think posing the girls in an embracive pose made the image that much more impactful, the fact that they are sisters in an embracive pose also added to the image.

At the time of this portrait, Christine had reached out to me to take some portraits for her blog she was running. This session was a true collaboration in the sense. We exchanged ideas for weeks before the session even took place. I love a good collaboration between people who are just as creative as you are, it’s quite refreshing and makes it all that much more exciting. Bouncing ideas back and forth, creating a vision is just as exciting as doing the shoot.

Christine’s blog was a hip hop blog, and one particular shot we were going for was this photo. I think we couldn’t have nailed it any better! This is one of my favorite photos, even til this day. I love the expression, the composition, just everything about this portrait.

I was even contacted later by a music producer who wanted to use this image for a single cover of a group he was producing a single for. So that was pretty awesome!
