People please remember you’re stealing from the artists.
You might think of it as four minute long picture of your vacation. But once you put it up, you can’t get it back. People aren’t gonna pay for the tickets to see the reveal if you can just click on YouTube and see it.
And with that you are literally creating “starving artists”
And no, this does not only deal with magicians and this stage show. This deals with anyone that creates any form of art and or is in the entertainment industry

Let’s address the elephant in the room 🐘
Recording people without their consent is not cool. Lately this has become an increasing problem we are having to deal with at the theatre, multiple times this past week we’ve had to call out to people from the stage and send out messages afterwards asking to remove footage posted. It is not a secret that filming is not allowed in our theatre, it’s on the website, on several signs throughout the building, on the slideshows on tvs before the show and intermission, and announced in the recording before the show. Why do we ask for no filming? Because we have worked hard to create the routines in our show and those are our property. While the magic we are performing may not be unique to us (purchased effects and purchased rights to perform) the scripting, choreography, and songs that go along with them all together create something unique to us. And while art is being stolen at an alarming rate right now it’s now more important than ever that we don’t post our full routines, we never have and never plan to. But it’s also a respect thing, it’s distracting to us and your fellow audience members when your screen is lit up or Meta glasses are glowing as you record the show. You are recording our employees, volunteers from the show (sometimes children) without their permission and that’s not something that is okay. We very purposely don’t show Lily’s face on social media and everyone should be able to make that call if their face is out there for the world to see.
So with that all being said, guys please follow the rules and don’t record. We don’t want to start completely stopping the show to remove you for recording but it may get to that point. We work so so so hard to create a magical escape for people, so just for an hour and half put your phone down and please just enjoy the show. That’s what it’s for, escape reality and relax. We will all enjoy the experience better!
