If I post pictures from warm, sunny days, will it finally be warm and sunny again? That one 70° day was so glorious and it’s been so gray and chilly since then. So, here are some delightful photos from last June at Lily and Ben’s engagement session at The Book Mill. What a cool place! I love it there!

I’ve been oil painting for about a year now and I love it! It’s much more forgiving and flexible than I thought coming in. I had mostly worked with watercolor before, which is tricky because it’s all transparent. With oil, if you mess up you can just blend it out, or scrape it off, or cover it up! So, I can repaint things ten times until I get it right…which I basically did with the water portion of this painting and I’m still not sure it’s right.

2. Going to the dentist
3. Being unable to smile because my mouth is numb from the dentist
4. Starting a new oil painting (those black lines are marking the spot for flowers)
5. Hanging out with my nieces 💕
6. & 7. Exploring downtown Northampton
8. Visiting the Smith botanical garden with
9. Checking out one of the last film photo booths! It’s in Thornes Marketplace!
10. Trying to cross country ski and deciding it’s too hard and too dangerous. I am terrified of breaking and wrist and not being able to work.
