If I post pictures from warm, sunny days, will it finally be warm and sunny again? That one 70° day was so glorious and it’s been so gray and chilly since then. I’ve been oil painting for about a year now and I love it! It’s much more forgiving and flexible than I thought coming in. I had mostly worked with watercolor before, which is tricky because it’s all transparent. With oil, if you mess up you can just blend it out, or scrape it off, or cover it up! So, I can repaint things ten times until I get it right…which I basically did with the water portion of this painting and I’m still not sure it’s right.
