Happy Anniversary to me !🫶🏻🥳🎉💪🏻💅🙌🏻✌🏻

For years, I was just a sports mom on the sidelines with a camera… taking “a few pictures” that somehow turned into thousands. 📸⚽😂 After constantly watching me chase the perfect shot, my husband and sons finally convinced me to do this professionally, “You know this is basically a job already, right?” 

So 7 years ago, I made it official — and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life.

I took local college classes, MasterClass courses, learned a ton, grew a ton… and also discovered very quickly that studio sessions are not my calling. 😅 Give me muddy fields, real laughs, chaotic sidelines, and golden hour any day.

What started with photographing my boys became a career built on capturing real moments and real people — and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you to everyone who believed in me, supported me, and trusted me with your memories over these incredible 7 years. 🤍🩷

Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

This morning on the river, I watched three blue herons standing together on a quiet barge, wrapped in the warmth of golden hour light. There was something so peaceful about the moment — still, steady, and beautifully connected against the glow of a brand new day.

As a photographer, I’m constantly reminded that the most meaningful moments are often the quiet ones. The ones where light, nature, and presence come together without trying too hard. This felt like one of those moments — gentle, grounding, and full of grace.

Today is for the women who are the steady presence in our lives. The ones who guide, comfort, protect, and love with incredible strength and softness all at once.

Wishing every mother and mother figure a day filled with the same warmth and beauty this river morning brought me.

We planned Alyssa’s senior session all the way back in October, and all day today the rain had us nervous. But just as we started her session this evening, the clouds parted and the sun came out — almost as if it knew this moment was meant just for her. And honestly, that little bit of sunshine could not have matched a more deserving girl.

Alyssa is the kind of person who quietly shines in every room she walks into. At 17 years old, she has already built a life filled with hard work, compassion, creativity, and dedication. She played softball from the age of six, loving every season, until her senior year when life asked her to step into a different role — one far more important. After her younger brother Ryder was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Alyssa made the selfless decision to take a break from the sport she loved so she could be there for her family. That choice says everything about who she is.

Through every challenge, Alyssa has continued to excel. She has earned honor roll every quarter throughout her entire school career, balancing academics with countless activities and responsibilities. At Perryville High School, she spent all four years in the marching band as part of the color guard, eventually becoming captain her senior year. She also lit up the stage in three school musicals — Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods, and Legally Blonde — sharing her talent, confidence, and joy with everyone watching.

Her work ethic is just as inspiring. Alyssa began working at Old South Smokehouse during her freshman year alongside her mom, and later took on a position at Great Wolf Lodge during her junior year. Through years of saving and determination, she even purchased her very first car on her own — a huge accomplishment that reflects her independence and drive.

Alyssa’s passion has always been found in the kitchen. Since she was a toddler, she has loved baking, creating, and bringing people together through food. As a student at Cecil County School of Technology, she pursued culinary studies while discovering her true dream: opening her own bakery someday. Although she originally searched for a baking and pastry arts college program, she ultimately chose a path that will help her build that dream from the ground up by pursuing a business degree at Cecil College.

Beyond all of her accomplishments, what stands out most about Alyssa is her heart. She is a loving daughter, an incredible big sister to Jason and Ryder, and someone who shows up for the people she loves without hesitation. She’s also had the sweetest support system in her longtime boyfriend Joe, who has been by her side since middle school.

Tonight’s sunshine felt symbolic — a reminder that even after storms, light finds its way through. Alyssa’s journey hasn’t always been easy, but she continues to meet every challenge with grace, strength, and kindness. Her future is incredibly bright, and anyone who knows her already knows this is only the beginning of something beautiful.

Over the years, I’ve chased its glow through different skies, seasons, and moments of my life. Every photo holds a memory, but the moon has always stayed the same — quiet, constant, and full of light.

Maybe that’s why the moon feels so inspiring — it reminds us that we, too, are meant to give light to others, even in the darkest moments. Sometimes a soft glow is enough to guide someone home.

I can proudly say that my most challenging client was also my greatest triumph: our son, our Senior . Initially he was hesitant to take pictures, eventually warmed up and embraced the moment. Even took selfie with me 😁
In 2020, ( last few pictures ) we faced unprecedented circumstances during his high school graduation, sad times for all of us .. we chose to rise above and celebrate his college graduation with greatest enthusiasm, ensuring our son felt the significance of his milestone achievement. We are so proud of him , we cannot wait to watch him walk that stage at graduation ceremony to receive his diploma , alongside his colleagues . They all deserve the best moments in life !! Congratulations!!🎊🎉🎈 We love you so much and we know grandma and grandpa will have the best seats in that stadium !
