At the Havre de Grace City Council Meeting on May 18th, 2026, a "Farewell" to Council Member Tammy Lynn Schneegas and Jimmy Ringsaker. Three people were sworn in at the meeting. Lizz Clarke, David Glenn, and Casi Boyer. Cassi Boyer is the City Council President. Congratulations!

Dedication of a Ceremonial Sign to Lawrence Ringgold, Havre de Grace, Maryland

Mayor Martin and the City of Havre de Grace, on May 17th, 2026, at 2:00 PM, conducted a ceremonial dedication of Lodge Lane to Lawrence Ringgold, the first African American police officer in Havre de Grace. The ceremony took place at the intersection of Lodge Lane and Alliance Street near where Mr. Ringgold lived and fell on the 60th anniversary of his ultimate sacrifice while serving in Vietnam. While the street name remains Lodge Lane, this ceremonial dedication ensures that his courage and impact on our community are never forgotten. Several community members participated in the dedication.
