A hill I would die on.

If you think taking photos with every guest table during dinner is the only way you can see everyone, let's think this through.

There are pockets of the day we can open up for moments like this.

Getting drinks during your cocktail hour.
Grabbing shave ice during your cocktail hour.
Giving leis to your guests after the ceremony.
Saying hi in between dinner service.
Screaming to your favorite song on the dance floor

These intentional moments are more enjoyable if you allow them to be.

This wedding will always stay with me.

Not because of the details — but because they dreamed so beautifully and intentionally and then their day was intimately perfect. The place and the people put together like wonderful puzzle pieces.

Surrounded by the mountains and the ocean that mean so much to K and her heritage, while also being married by her brother. Talk about having the best day of your life and being so present with each other, your family, and friends.

The faces of each friend or family member coming alive with all the feels as their ceremony took place. The huge smiles all day, tons of laughter, tons of fun, and and endless amount of love.

K+S were present with each other and also got to have the joyous, emotional, and lively celebration they dreamed of.

This is why I do this work.
Not just to take photos… but to tell stories that actually matter.

But honestly? Ami said it better.
