If I could change one thing about every wedding timeline I’ve ever seen — it’s this.

More time for individual portraits.

Not 5 minutes squeezed between first look and the wedding party. Not a rushed window before the sun disappears. I mean a real, protected, unhurried block of time — just for you.

These types of images take time. And time is the one thing I can’t manufacture on your wedding day.

So when you’re building your timeline — protect your portrait time first. Have a slow morning and build the other events around it. Your photographer will thank you. And more importantly, your future self will too.

Kona Beach House really said let's make this easy for you — and K & J said absolutely.

Between the sunset, the tropical landscape, and two people who were completely at ease in front of the camera, this gallery basically made itself.

That's what happens when the details, the couple, and the light all show up on the same day.

This is my kind of celebration. Elevated, warm, and completely effortless.

Planning a wedding in Hawaii? Tell me about it in the comments — I'd love to hear what you're envisioning.

You’re not losing clients because of your portfolio. You’re losing them between the first email and the follow-up.

Most photographers send a response that’s technically fine — but it doesn’t make booking feel like the obvious next step. And when it comes to following up? Most don’t. Because they don’t know what to say without sounding pushy.

The Inquiry Edit is the complete system I use in my own business — inquiry templates, follow-up sequences, DM scripts, text follow-ups, and a subject line swipe file that actually gets your emails opened.

One booking covers it a hundred times over.

There are two types of wedding photos:
the ones that look incredible… and the ones that actually feel like you were there.

The best galleries don’t make you choose.

They hold both —
clean, editorial images you’d actually print
and the kind of frames that still hit when you look back years from now.

That balance isn’t luck.
It’s knowing when to give direction and when to leave it alone.

If you want both, you’re in the right place.

Which matters more to you—how it looks, or how it feels?

Want average wedding photos?
Didn’t think so.

You’re drawn to images that feel like you—effortless, quietly editorial, and imperfect in all the right ways.

I give direction when it matters and step back when it doesn’t, so nothing feels forced—just honest moments, captured with intention and a point of view.

Tell me in the comments about the celebration you’re planning, I’d love to hear more!

Most people think being “photogenic” is something you either have or you don’t. It’s not.

It’s direction.
It’s energy.
It’s feeling like you’re not being watched, but understood.

I’ll give you very specific direction when you need it:
exactly where your hands go, how to move, how to interact so it actually looks natural.

And I also know when to step back, when to let a moment unfold without interrupting it.

That balance is what makes it feel effortless — and why the photos don’t look posed, even though you were guided the entire time.

If you’ve ever said “we’re awkward in front of the camera,” you’re exactly who I work best with.

Your wedding will move fast. I’ll make sure it stays with you.

Now booking 2027.

More from M & D’s day at Turtle Bay.

The kind of wedding where nothing feels forced—
just good energy, beautiful light, and people fully in it.

Exactly how it should be.

Planning something similar on Oahu?

Let’s talk - I'd love to be a part of it.

No one wishes for rain.
But the best weddings know how to embrace it.

Not by controlling it—
but by letting the day unfold anyway.

Because here’s what actually matters:

You’re surrounded by your people.
You’re marrying the person you chose.
Everything else is just atmosphere.

And sometimes, that atmosphere gets better.

Quieter.
More intimate.
Less about production, more about presence.

Your planner adjusts.
The timeline flexes.
Nothing falls apart the way you think it will.

And what you’re left with—
are photos that don’t feel forced or overly polished.
They feel lived in. Honest. Like you were actually there.

So if the weather shifts, let it.
You don’t need perfect conditions for this to be a really good day.

If you’re planning a wedding in Hawaii and want imagery that holds up no matter what the day looks like—
you know where to find me. Now booking 2027.

Previews for M & D — and I am not okay.

A Turtle Bay wedding on the North Shore of Oahu, light that showed up exactly when we needed it, and two people who made every single frame effortless.

So much more to come from this one.

Planning your own Turtle Bay wedding? Link in bio to inquire — I'd love to be there.

A few more from this beautiful Newport day. Ochre Court has a way of making everything feel like a scene from a film — and a brunch wedding with gorgeous morning light & a six foot cake doesn't hurt either.
