Zhang Jia Jie was the highlight of our China trip, and we planned everything around coming here. It’s just one of the places that leave you speechless, seeing how amazing Mother Nature is. The pictures don’t do this place justice, but some of these pillars are over 400 meters tall. Throughout the park there’s a lot of monkeys, which can be aggressive, and the views from the cable cars are 10/10. I recommend coming here first thing in the morning when the park opens! Do not skip this on your next trip to China!

Tianmen mountain is one of those places that leave you in awe when you see it. You first take a 30 minute cable car up the mountain, then a winding bus ride up to the top with dramatic drop offs. You finally reach Heavens gate which is a natural phenomenon, and you’re left with about 1000 steps to reach your final destination. I loved every second at Tianmen, and on the way back you have some amazing views as well. If you’re visiting Zhang jia jie, this is a must, and plan on spending a full day here! Don’t forget to visit the 72 Wonder Tower at night!

Ching Qing is a city that really comes alive at night, and quite honestly I’m really loving how modern all these cities in China are. I loved Chong Qing because it gave me the feeling, rush, I had when I first started photography. It’s the thrill of researching hidden gems, mapping them out, and capturing their magic that gave me pure joy. This is the reason I enjoy traveling so much, to get that feeling again and to discover new places. We definitely didn’t get to see everything we wanted to in couple days so we are planning on coming back here in November! The street photography in Chong Qing is insane!

Hawaii put on a show last night in what could be sunset of the year! I haven’t seen color like this in quite a while, so it was definitely overdue. Right now, my favorite set up has been the a7rIV + 35 f/1.4 GM and I used it at the beach walk to capture this moment. The 35 is the ultimate story telling lens and with it being so compact, I can take this setup everywhere I go so I’ll never miss a moment like this.
