I created 5 custom backdrops for this little guy, each one taking him somewhere completely different — including a magical hot-air-balloon adventure where he looks like he’s being carried away into the sweetest little dreamland. 🎈✨

And honestly… **this is why I LOVE creating backdrops!**

The hardest part isn’t creating them.

Some newborn portraits are sweet.

And then there are the ones that feel like the beginning of a story.

This little guy looks like he’s already getting ready for his first great adventure — floating among the clouds with his tiny teddy companion, dreaming of all the places life will take him. 🎈

There are seasons in our lives when everything feels green, fresh, and full of possibility.

Seasons when we are growing.
Becoming.
Dreaming.
Beginning again.

Then come the autumns—the seasons of letting go. 🍂
People leave. Plans change. Doors close. Things we thought would last forever become memories.

And sometimes, life brings us into winter.

A season that feels quiet. Cold. Uncertain.
A season where growth seems impossible because everything is happening beneath the surface.

But winter is never the end.

Eventually, the snow melts.
The light returns.
Something begins to bloom.

Spring reminds us that we can begin again.

And perhaps the most beautiful part of life is realizing that we don't simply move through these seasons—we often come full circle.

We return to places we thought we'd never see again.
We rediscover pieces of ourselves we thought we'd lost.
We become the person our younger self needed.
And we realize that the endings, the waiting, the heartbreak, and the rebuilding were all part of becoming who we were meant to be.

Sweet 16 sessions aren’t supposed to feel like a photoshoot the entire time. 💕✨

Sometimes it’s running down the beach, laughing until you can’t stop, looking at your best friends, and just having the BEST time together. 🌊☀️

That’s what I love about sessions at Gatsby on the ocean, and a whole lot of FUN. Because the best images happen when you forget the camera is even there. 🥹📸

Some battles never make it to social media.
Some struggles don’t come with an explanation, a post, or even a single word.

I have my own things I’m fighting through—things most people would never know by looking at me. And maybe you do too.

So today, I just want to say this to whoever needs to hear it:

I hope you are winning the war that you tell no one about.
I hope you keep showing up.
I hope you keep choosing yourself.
I hope you remember that struggling doesn’t mean you’re losing.

Sometimes strength looks like a smile.
Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed.
Sometimes it looks like simply making it through another day.

Sixteen, barefoot, laughing, and running straight into her next chapter.🌊✨

This is what I love about Sweet 16 sessions — they don't always have to be perfectly posed.

Sometimes the best portraits happen when she kicks off her shoes, runs down the beach, lets the wind take over, and simply **has fun.**

The genuine laughter.
The crazy hair.
The dress moving in the breeze.
That completely carefree smile.

Because underneath all the glam and beautiful portraits is a girl who is growing into the woman she's becoming — and **16 is such a beautiful time to capture her exactly as she is right now.**

**Three looks pretty magical on Kane!**

For this custom birthday portrait, we turned a massive sculpted **number 3** into a dreamy celebration overflowing with pastel blue balloons, lush flowers, soft greenery and delicate ribbons.

And Kane? He decided he wasn't going to simply *sit* inside his birthday portrait—he was going to **climb right out of it!**
